What is remote simultaneous interpretation?
Interpreters render the speech into another language while the speaker is talking, from wherever they are. Each language reaches listeners on its own audio channel.
How does a participant choose a language?
In the meeting, they open the interpretation menu and choose the floor (the original) or a language channel. The interpreter comes in straight away, with the original kept at 20% underneath.
Do participants need an account?
No. Guests join from the meeting link by entering their name, and the host admits them from the waiting room.
Do you provide the interpreters?
SmartMeet is the platform. You bring your own interpreters, and they work from the virtual booth inside your meeting.
Does SmartMeet translate automatically?
No. Interpretation is done by people. Interpreters can ask for a suggested translation of a difficult phrase, and only they see it.
